Mike Schärer joins localsearch management as HR Chief

Mike Schärer assumed the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at localsearch on January 12, 2026, and has joined the company's executive management team. In his new capacity, the 38-year-old will lead the entire HR department.

Schärer brings extensive international experience in HR management. Prior to joining localsearch, he spent over 16 years with AXA XL, serving for more than five years as Head of HR and a member of the Swiss leadership team. In that position, he was responsible for the complete HR and payroll organization for AXA's property, casualty, and specialty risks division. His notable achievements include supporting multiple international reorganizations, harmonizing benefits, and establishing an international personnel leasing model.

He gained international exposure through collaborations with teams across Europe and Asia, demonstrating strengths in leading culturally diverse teams and implementing global HR strategies locally. Schärer holds a Master's degree in HR Management from the FHNW University of Applied Sciences Northwest Switzerland (2026).

CEO Stefano Santinelli stated that Schärer's experience and strategic thinking will further strengthen localsearch's employees, culture, and development trajectory. Schärer expressed his enthusiasm for joining a dynamic company and contributing to its growth and transformation alongside his team.
