Alt-right personality Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported from the United States by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the deportation to Reuters and the Washington Post on Thursday. Yiannopoulos entered the U.S. legally in 2019 but overstayed his visa.

A final order of removal was issued on July 22 after Yiannopoulos failed to appear for an immigration hearing. The British national gained prominence as an editor at Steve Bannon's Breitbart and an early supporter of Donald Trump.

He has a history of controversial statements and associations, including reports of helping arrange a dinner between Trump and Kanye West. Yiannopoulos's U.S. stay has now concluded due to his expired legal status and subsequent enforcement actions.

The case highlights the U.S. government's immigration enforcement policies and their impact on individuals, including public figures who violate visa terms.
