Milton Hershey School has commenced construction on 138 housing units as part of the ongoing Hershey West End development in Pennsylvania.
Milton Hershey School (MHS), acting through MHS Trust Real Estate, has officially broken ground on Phase J of its Hershey West End project in Pennsylvania. The development, dubbed Founders Grove, will feature 138 for-sale residential units, marking a significant expansion of the school's real estate development portfolio.
The project is part of a multi-phase effort to transform school-owned land into a mixed-use community hub. By converting trust assets into residential inventory, the school aims to address local housing demand while generating long-term value for the trust.
The start of construction follows extensive planning for the Hershey West End area. As the project moves into the active building phase, it represents a shift in the institution's role from landholder to residential developer, impacting the local housing market in the Hershey region.
