TOKYO – MIMARU, a Japanese brand of apartment hotels targeted at families, operated by Cosmos Hotel Management Co., Ltd., has introduced a new Visitor Assistance Initiative across Tokyo. The program is designed to help international travelers feel more at home and less like mere tourists during their stay.

The initiative allows guests at any MIMARU property in Tokyo to seek assistance during the day from other MIMARU locations. This support can range from providing directions and help with local services to offering shelter during unexpected weather changes. The assistance is delivered by MIMARU's multilingual staff, who represent 39 countries and regions.

MIMARU states that over 90% of its guests are international travelers, with approximately 90% traveling as families. The company noted that minor travel disruptions, such as a dead phone battery or getting lost, can significantly impact the overall travel experience.

Mao Mochizuki, International Public Relations Manager at MIMARU, emphasized the initiative's goal of extending support beyond the accommodation itself. "We created this initiative so our guests feel supported not just at their accommodation, but wherever they explore," Mochizuki said.

While modern travelers have access to translation apps and navigation tools, MIMARU believes that in-person assistance remains crucial for many situations. By connecting its Tokyo properties through a shared support network, MIMARU aims to enhance visitors' sense of security as they explore the city.
