Mindmax raises £2.5m to develop cognitive training AI
Mindmax, founded by the creator of the Memrise platform, has secured £2.5m in funding to build technology focused on enhancing human cognition.

London-based startup Mindmax has raised £2.5 million in a funding round led by Concept Ventures. The round includes participation from notable industry figures, such as Helsing CEO Torsten Reil, alongside Daybreak Ventures and Redrice Ventures.
The startup, led by the founder of the language learning app Memrise, aims to differentiate itself from existing AI platforms by focusing on cognitive improvement. Rather than offloading mental tasks to technology, the company is building tools intended to improve users' own cognitive abilities through structured AI-assisted training.
Mindmax plans to use the capital to scale its product development. Investors noted that the company’s mission to support human intellectual development stands in contrast to the industry trend of using artificial intelligence strictly for task automation.
