Minecraft to add new dimension "Sift"

Mojang Studios announced at the recent Minecraft LIVE event that a new dimension called "Sift" will be added to Minecraft. The new dimension will debut in the upcoming Minecraft Dungeons 2 game. Following this, Sift is scheduled to be integrated into the Java and Bedrock editions of Minecraft in 2027.

Sift will become the fourth official dimension in Minecraft, standing alongside the existing Nether and End dimensions, as well as the main Overworld. Specific gameplay mechanics for Sift were not detailed during the event. The presentation focused on the visual aspects of the new dimension, showcasing new flora and various creatures.

According to visuals revealed during the official stream, Sift appears to be a dimension with a unique artistic style and distinctive terrain. It will feature its own exclusive blocks, an independent ecosystem, and a range of new monsters and threats for players.
