FACC AG, a manufacturer of components for commercial aircraft and other aviation applications, has appointed Minfen Gu to its executive board as the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The appointment is effective March 1, 2011.

In her role, Gu will oversee FACC's finance, accounting, controlling, treasury, and insurance departments, as well as managing its shareholdings. She succeeds Bernhard Matzner, who will transition to other responsibilities within the FACC Group.

Gu, 45, brings extensive international experience to the role, having held various financial positions throughout her career. Previously, she served as Head of Controlling for the Asia-Pacific region at Evonik Degussa (China) Co., Ltd. in Shanghai. Her background also includes auditing experience with Ernst & Young.

Minfen Gu holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from Zhejiang University in China and completed her studies as a Diplom-Kauffrau in Economics at Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen in Germany. FACC AG is a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced fiber composite components and systems for the aviation industry. In the 2009/10 fiscal year, FACC reported revenues of 251.4 million euros.
