Minnesota business leaders launch donation match for women's history museum
Entrepreneurs Rachel Schromen and Erin Pash have pledged a $50,000 matching gift to support the Smithsonian American Women's History Museum.

Minnesota-based business owners Rachel Schromen and Erin Pash have committed $50,000 to initiate a matching campaign for the Smithsonian American Women's History Museum. The initiative, running from November 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, invites residents of Minnesota to contribute, with the founders pledging to match every gift dollar-for-dollar up to their $50,000 commitment.
The campaign seeks to generate a total of $100,000 to support the museum's mission of documenting and sharing the contributions of women throughout American history. This effort operates within the museum’s Making History Network, a national ambassador program tasked with expanding institutional outreach and local fundraising.
According to the organizers, the project is intended to mobilize community resources while fostering a broader dialogue about the representation of women's historical experiences. Interested donors can contribute through the museum’s online portal during the five-month window.
