Mintos launches commission-free stock investing from €1

European multi-asset investment platform Mintos has launched commission-free stock investing. The new service provides access to over 4,000 of the most traded US, European, and global stocks, with investment minimums starting at €1. This makes Mintos the only platform in Europe where retail investors can hold ETFs, stocks, bonds, loans, real estate, crypto ETPs, and cash equivalents within a single account.

Retail participation in stock markets is growing across Europe. According to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), nearly one in ten adults in the EU, or 35 million people, bought or sold shares between 2022 and 2025. In Germany, 14.1 million individuals held stocks, equity funds, or ETFs in 2025, an increase of two million from the previous year.

Mintos is offering stock investing without order fees or custody charges, and no subscription tiers are required. US stocks can be traded in euros with no currency conversion or foreign exchange charges. The platform supports fractional shares, enabling investments to begin from €1 regardless of the stock's price.

Martins Sulte, CEO and Co-Founder of Mintos, stated that fees can present a barrier to entry, especially for smaller investments. "We want to remove that barrier," Sulte said. "Mintos is now the only place in Europe where you can hold stocks alongside ETFs, bonds, loans, real estate, crypto ETPs, and Smart Cash – all in one account. For investors looking to build and manage a truly diversified portfolio, this is a meaningful step forward."

The platform offers flexible investment methods. Investors can manually buy and sell stocks, retaining direct control. Alternatively, investment plans allow users to select a stock, amount, and frequency, with automatic investments made weekly, monthly, or quarterly.
