Mintos Launches Commission-Free Stock Investing Service

Berlin – Mintos, a European multi-asset investment platform, has launched a commission-free stock investing service. This new offering grants investors access to over 4,000 of the most traded US, European, and global stocks, with investments starting from €1. Mintos states it is now the only platform in Europe where retail investors can hold ETFs, stocks, bonds, loans, real estate, crypto ETPs, and Smart Cash within a single account.

Retail participation in European stock markets is growing. According to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), nearly one in ten adults in the EU, or 35 million people, bought or sold stocks between 2022 and 2025. In Germany, 14.1 million individuals owned stocks, equity funds, or ETFs in 2025, an increase of two million from the previous year.

The Mintos service includes no brokerage fees or custody charges, and requires no subscription or paid plans. US stocks are traded in euros without currency conversion or exchange fees. Investors can start investing from €1 through fractional shares, regardless of the stock's price.

"Fees can be a barrier to entry for stock investing, especially when investing small amounts, and we want to remove that obstacle," said Martins Sulte, CEO and co-founder of Mintos. He added that Mintos is now a unique platform in Europe for holding stocks alongside other asset classes, a significant advancement for investors seeking to build and manage a truly diversified portfolio.

The service offers flexible investment plans, allowing investors to buy and sell stocks manually or set up automatic investments on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Mintos has selected popular stocks across sectors such as technology, finance, health, and energy. The range of available stocks is expected to expand over time.
