Miro improves bug routing and resolution time with Amazon Bedrock

Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that Miro, an AI-powered innovation workspace, has implemented Amazon Bedrock to improve its software development processes.

Miro's developer experience team developed a solution called BugManager for automated bug triaging. The goal was to enhance the routing of software bugs to approximately 100 different software teams, reduce misrouting incidents, and shorten the time required to resolve issues.

According to Miro, a significant percentage of bugs miss their internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) due to misrouting and repeated reassignments between teams. This resulted in an estimated 42 years of cumulative lost productivity annually due to delays and redundant investigation efforts.

The BugManager solution, developed in partnership with the AWS Prototyping and Cloud Engineering (PACE) team, has achieved a five-fold reduction in issue resolution time and a six-fold decrease in team reassignments. The system is designed to process complex and often unclear bug reports that include text, stack traces, and various data formats, thereby streamlining decision-making.
