Missile startup Hypersonica secures €100m in Series B funding
British-German missile technology firm Hypersonica has raised €100m from Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst to scale operations.

Missile startup Hypersonica has closed a €100m Series B funding round, co-led by venture capital firms Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. The investment reportedly values the company at approximately €700m.
The firm focuses on developing missile defense systems intended for modern military applications. Hypersonica’s leadership stated that the capital will support the company's research and development efforts as it seeks to meet increased demand for defense infrastructure across Europe.
The funding reflects a broader shift in the European venture capital market, which has seen an uptick in investment toward defense-related technologies since 2022. As European nations increase their military budgets, startups in this sector are finding more support from private investors previously hesitant to engage with the defense industry.
