MobiKwik posts profit in Q2 as operational costs decline

Indian fintech company MobiKwik has recorded a consolidated net profit of ₹11.8 Cr for the September quarter of FY27. This result represents a significant recovery from the ₹28.6 Cr loss reported during the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Operating revenue reached ₹295.7 Cr, a 9.4% increase year-over-year. The profit growth was driven by a combination of revenue expansion and a reduction in operational expenditures. Specifically, payment processing charges—the company's primary expense—fell by 10.8% to ₹119.5 Cr, while lending-related operational costs dropped by 88.1%.

EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹22.7 Cr, compared to an EBITDA loss of ₹6.4 Cr in the same quarter last year. Having returned to profitability in the first quarter of FY27, MobiKwik's latest figures suggest a sustained effort to improve margins by curbing overheads alongside modest revenue growth.
