Mobile game Touhou LostWord to terminate China operations in February 2027
The Chinese version of the mobile game Touhou LostWord will cease operations on February 3, 2027, citing strategic restructuring.
The mobile title Touhou LostWord, based on the Touhou Project franchise, is set to terminate its services in mainland China on February 3, 2027. The shutdown follows what the company described as adjustments to its overall operational strategy and business framework.
In-game purchases and new account registrations were disabled on November 3, 2026. Following the server shutdown in February, the game's official website, community forums, and customer support channels are scheduled to be taken offline on March 3, 2027.
Co-developed by Good Smile Company and NextNinja, the game entered the Chinese market in September 2021. Despite initial success that included reaching the top of the App Store free-to-play charts, the title is being withdrawn after approximately five years of operation.
