Mochatrade Raises $5.5 Million for US Stock Trading Platform in India
Fintech startup Mochatrade has secured $5.5 million in seed funding to build a platform allowing Indian traders to access US market-linked financial instruments.

Mochatrade has raised $5.5 million in a seed funding round led by CoinFund, with participation from Coinbase Ventures and Zero Knowledge Ventures. The capital will be deployed to strengthen the company’s trading engine and risk management infrastructure as it prepares for a market launch.
The startup, founded in 2026 by Utkarsh Sinha, Chetan Manda, and Parth Maheshwari, aims to provide Indian retail traders access to perpetual futures and price-tracking contracts tied to US stocks, crypto, and commodities. By integrating with Indian payment systems like UPI and allowing balance tracking in Indian Rupees, the company seeks to lower barriers for global market participation.
The launch comes as Indian regulators move to tighten rules on domestic futures and options trading to mitigate retail risk. While domestic activity faces pressure from these new regulations, demand for overseas investment remains high. Mochatrade plans to eventually expand its offerings to include US stock options and pre-IPO contracts, pending regulatory approval.
