Mogul Buys Mogul.com Domain for $1.32 Million

Mogul, a platform specializing in fractional real estate investments, has purchased the Mogul.com domain name for $1.32 million, transitioning from its previous Mogul.club address. The company views this acquisition as a strategic move essential for achieving its long-term business objectives.

Founded in 2023 by Alex Blackwood and Joey Gumataotao, both former real estate executives at Goldman Sachs, Mogul has raised $4.2 million in venture funding to date. The platform currently manages over $90 million in assets and has attracted tens of thousands of investors.

According to the company, the acquisition of Mogul.com is necessary for its ambition to expand beyond being solely a fractional investing platform and to encompass the entire real estate value chain. Mogul had previously attempted to acquire the domain, but the asking price was significantly higher at the time.

Blackwood expressed confidence that the investment in the domain will yield substantial returns, anticipating an increase in the company's valuation as new services are announced. Mogul allows users to buy shares in properties and receive dividends, offering benefits akin to owning rental property without the landlord responsibilities.
