Mohawk Industries acquires Pergo for $150 million
Flooring manufacturer Mohawk Industries has completed its acquisition of Pergo. The all-cash transaction is valued at $150 million.

Mohawk Industries has finalized the purchase of laminate flooring manufacturer Pergo for $150 million in cash. The acquisition was closed on January 10, 2013, following an initial announcement in October 2012.
Pergo generated approximately $320 million in sales across the U.S. and European markets in 2011. Mohawk CEO Jeffrey S. Lorberbaum stated that the addition of Pergo helps the company expand its presence in the U.S. retail do-it-yourself market while complementing its existing flooring portfolio.
The integration aims to leverage patented technologies held by Mohawk’s subsidiary, Unilin, to optimize operational performance across both brands. The transaction marks a strategic move to consolidate market share in the flooring sector.
