Calhoun, GA – Mohawk Industries, the world's largest flooring manufacturer, announced a leadership transition on June 11, 2026. Paul F. De Cock, currently President and Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and a director of the company's Board, effective September 30, 2026.

De Cock will take over from Jeffrey S. Lorberbaum, who will retire as CEO on that date after leading the company since January 2001. Lorberbaum will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board, supporting the transition.

De Cock brings more than two decades of industry experience to the CEO position. Under Lorberbaum's 25-year tenure, Mohawk grew into the largest flooring manufacturer globally through strategic acquisitions and organic investments. "I know that I will leave the Company in good hands under Paul’s leadership," Lorberbaum stated. "I look forward to serving as Chairman of the Board and working closely with Paul and the rest of the management team to support a smooth transition."

John M. Engquist, Lead Independent Director, expressed gratitude for Lorberbaum's leadership and highlighted De Cock's extensive knowledge and respect within the company, anticipating a seamless handover.
