Moneyview Halves IPO Fresh Issue Component to ₹750 Cr
Fintech unicorn Moneyview has significantly reduced the size of its upcoming IPO, halving the fresh issue component to ₹750 crore and trimming the offer for sale (OFS).

Fintech unicorn Moneyview has substantially reduced the size of its initial public offering (IPO) following regulatory approval. The company announced it has halved the fresh issue component to ₹750 crore, down from an initial proposal of ₹1,500 crore. Additionally, the offer for sale (OFS) component has been trimmed to 10.04 crore equity shares, from 13.6 crore previously.
The revised plan indicates that investors including Tiger Global and Accel will reduce the number of shares they intend to offload. The co-founders, Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal, along with Agarwal's wife Chitra Agarwal, are maintaining their OFS portions.
Proceeds from the reduced IPO are earmarked for specific growth initiatives. Approximately ₹325 crore will fund the expansion of loan disbursals under default loss guarantee (DLG) arrangements, while ₹250 crore will be injected into its NBFC subsidiary, Whizdm Finance Pvt Ltd, to bolster its capital base. The remaining funds will be allocated for general corporate purposes.
Moneyview has not disclosed the specific reasons for the IPO size reduction or the timeline for the offering's launch. Founded in 2014, Moneyview operates a digital lending platform, partnering with banks and NBFCs to offer unsecured personal loans. The company reported revenues of ₹2,379 crore and a net profit of ₹240 crore for FY25.
