Monterrey Airport and AirportLabs Enhance Airfield Safety with Digital Solution
Monterrey International Airport and technology firm AirportLabs have deployed a new digital system for airfield monitoring. The solution aims to improve safety and operational efficiency in managing airfield movements.

Monterrey International Airport (MTY) in Mexico has implemented a new digital monitoring system to enhance safety and operational efficiency on its airfield. Developed in collaboration with technology firm AirportLabs, the system provides real-time data on airfield activities.
The initiative seeks to eliminate blind spots in information flow and offer a unified digital view of the airfield. This is critical for a high-traffic hub that serves as one of Mexico's key aviation gateways.
The technology is designed to minimize risks and optimize airport operations, including aircraft movements and ground handling. Access to real-time information is expected to enable faster and more informed decision-making for airport personnel.
AirportLabs CEO Ricardo Gordón highlighted the role of digitalization in modern airport management. "Our collaboration with Monterrey Airport demonstrates our commitment to advancing aviation safety and efficiency globally," Gordón stated.
