Monument Mining faces legal dispute over Tuckanarra gold project
Monument Mining and Odyssey Gold are in court over the management of the Tuckanarra gold project in Western Australia following a contractual disagreement.

Vancouver-based Monument Mining has entered into legal proceedings regarding its 20% stake in the Tuckanarra Gold Project in Western Australia. The dispute involves Tuckanarra Resources, an 80% stakeholder and subsidiary of Odyssey Gold, which has applied for an injunction in the Supreme Court of Western Australia to stop Monument from replacing the project’s manager.
The conflict originated from a notice of breach issued by Monument on August 25, 2026. Monument alleges that Tuckanarra Resources violated the joint venture agreement by entering into a toll milling contract with a third party without proper authorization. Monument maintains that this breach triggered the end of Tuckanarra’s role as the project manager, a position Tuckanarra disputes.
Both parties have agreed to an expedited court timetable to resolve the matter. Monument stated it remains committed to the project's development but intends to pursue the dispute resolution process to protect its rights under the existing agreement.
