The company states that essential oils should never be applied directly to the HEPA filter but only to a separate aroma pad included with the unit.

According to MOOKA, this method ensures that the air purifier's ability to capture airborne particles remains effective. The aroma pad is positioned near the air outlet, where the fan disperses a subtle fragrance into the already filtered airflow. This design prevents oils from clogging filter fibers or compromising airflow and purification performance.

MOOKA reports that users often find the gentle aroma helps keep rooms fresh, masks odors from cooking or other sources, and creates a relaxing atmosphere. The company highlights the flexibility, allowing users to adjust scent intensity by varying the number of drops and fan speed, thereby personalizing the experience without altering filtration settings.

The company reminds consumers that essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used sparingly, starting with 2-3 drops. Additionally, oils and saturated pads must be kept out of reach of children. Pet owners are advised to verify the safety of specific oils for animals and to use minimal quantities due to potential sensitivities.
