Moonix, an AI wearable hardware brand, has announced the global synchronized release of its first product, the Moonix AI Glasses, with a starting price of 2299 yuan. The company, Xinnuo Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., has stripped down the product's features to focus primarily on "recording" as its core function, omitting common AI glasses features like translation and navigation.

The standard version of the Moonix AI Glasses weighs a mere 14.9 grams, positioning it as a lightweight option comparable to traditional optical frames. The company states that this minimalist approach allows for comfortable all-day wear. A "Pro" version, featuring a 2K camera and an approximate weight of 19.9 grams, is slated for release in late August.

"Manufacturers often position AI glasses as the next-generation computing platform, while Moonix aims to create an AI assistant that understands the user over time," said Guo Yuchen, President of Moonix. "We believe features like translation and teleprompter functions are not frequently used enough to justify constant wear. Recording, however, creates a time-based compound interest—the more data a user accumulates, the richer the AI's understanding of their personal context becomes."

The company has implemented a multi-layered privacy protection system, assuring that user data is not used for AI model training and remains entirely owned by the user. Raw data is stored locally on the user's phone, and while analysis may occur in the cloud, original data is not retained there post-analysis. Moonix also plans to progressively open-source relevant data processing modules for community oversight.

With a focus on extended usability, the AI glasses offer a comprehensive battery life of up to 16 hours, achieved through low-power solutions and optimized power management algorithms. The glasses are available for purchase through Moonix's official mini-program and JD.com flagship store.
