Mordor Intelligence Launches Platform to Identify Automation Demand 12 to 24 Months in Advance

Mordor Intelligence has released Robotics Intelligence, a subscription-based platform aimed at identifying demand for robots and automation 12 to 24 months prior to a project reaching the tender stage. The platform allows system integrators, component suppliers, and robot manufacturers to identify new construction and expansion projects with potential automation needs during the early decision-making phases.

The core concept behind the platform is that automation requirements for a new facility or warehouse are set during the construction phase, well before a formal request for proposal (RFP) is issued. By the time a tender is public, the shortlist of suppliers is often largely decided. Robotics Intelligence pinpoints facilities in this early stage and connects them to the operator, likely robot types, and surrounding integrators and suppliers.

The service aggregates data on construction, permits, expansions, tenders, and deployment activities globally from public sources. It maps each signal to a specific facility, operator, relevant robot types, and the surrounding ecosystem of integrators and suppliers. It then scores each facility for automation likelihood and places it within a procurement window, generating a ranked list of potential customers and partners.

At launch, the platform tracks 494 construction and expansion signals across 50 countries, with 443 falling into the top two automation likelihood bands. 120 facilities are within the 12 to 24-month procurement window. The service helps companies anticipate market developments and gain a competitive edge through early demand identification.
