Moroccan startup WATTSC has launched watt.ma, a platform designed to manage and monetize electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Moroccan technology firm WATTSC has introduced watt.ma, a software platform intended to streamline the management and monetization of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The platform offers operators, site owners, businesses, and fleets tools to monitor their equipment, manage charging sessions, organize billing, and analyze the performance of their charging infrastructure. It consolidates charging station supervision, session tracking, tariff management, transaction data, and revenue reporting into a single interface.
Leveraging the open OCPP 1.6J protocol, the software ensures compatibility with charging points from various manufacturers, eliminating the need for proprietary hardware ecosystems. It also features a live monitoring map and a QR code-based payment system tailored to local payment solutions.
"The challenge of electric mobility is not just about installing charging stations. It also requires being able to monitor them, ensure their availability, facilitate payments, and allow site owners to achieve profitability on their investment. watt.ma was developed to provide this operational layer to the Moroccan market," stated Prince Marfo, spokesperson for watt.ma.
