MOTER Technologies Receives Additional Investment from ITOCHU for Data Solutions Expansion

MOTER Technologies, an AI-powered Insurtech company that provides a connected vehicle data platform for the insurance and automotive industries, announced it has received additional strategic investment from ITOCHU Corporation, a leading Japanese general trading company. The funding is earmarked to support further development of MOTER's technology platform, broaden its market partnerships, and drive growth across the automotive and insurance sectors.

The investment deepens an existing collaboration between MOTER and ITOCHU that began in 2025. The companies have jointly developed connected vehicle solutions for the auto insurance industry and created new mobility data offerings. ITOCHU provides support for MOTER's auto insurance programs through reinsurance capabilities within the ITOCHU Group. The partners plan to introduce MOTER's offerings to Asian markets, including Japan, aiming to enhance the end-to-end insurance customer experience in the U.S. mobility market.

Kenji Fujii, founder and CEO of MOTER, stated that the investment reflects ITOCHU's continued confidence in MOTER and the progress made since their partnership began last year. He noted that the funding will help extend the reach of their mobility data and insurance technology and enable pursuit of new opportunities with ITOCHU beyond insurance.

Tadayoshi Yamaguchi, COO of ITOCHU Corporation's Financial & Insurance Business Division, commented that their collaboration has progressed steadily and the additional investment further strengthens their relationship. By combining MOTER's advanced mobility data analytics and insurtech capabilities with ITOCHU's global business platform and extensive industry network, they aim to accelerate value creation in next-generation mobility.

Looking ahead, MOTER and ITOCHU intend to explore opportunities outside of insurance, including in information technology, telecommunications, and financial services. MOTER will also continue to engage with current and prospective partners on initiatives involving connected vehicle data, telematics, risk intelligence, and broader automotive solutions.
