The MotoGP weekend at the Sachsenring motor circuit drew a record 261,831 spectators this year. The visitor count saw an approximate 13 percent increase between 2022 and 2027.
Several racing events took place over the weekend, marked by both victories and unfortunate incidents. Motorcycle racer Marc Márquez achieved his tenth MotoGP victory at Sachsenring, describing the race as particularly significant. The event also saw crowd-related issues and disruptions, including an unauthorized drone that was intercepted by the police.
Numerous individuals and organizations were responsible for the event's security. Medical center staff were on standby to manage any accidents. Additionally, measures were implemented to counter drone threats.
Looking ahead to the motor circuit's future, advance sales for the 2027 race have already commenced. Next year's event will also mark the track's 100th anniversary, with several additional activities planned, including more seating capacity.
