Motorola launches Signature 27 smartphone at $1,600 price point
Motorola has announced the Signature 27, a non-folding flagship smartphone priced at $1,600, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor.

Motorola is expanding its U.S. smartphone portfolio with the introduction of the Signature 27. The device marks a strategic shift for the manufacturer, moving away from its mid-range Edge series toward the premium flagship segment. Despite the hardware upgrades, the $1,600 price point places the device in direct competition with the company's own foldable product lines.
The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, positioning it among the most performant devices currently available from Qualcomm. Internally, the hardware includes 12GB of RAM and a fixed 512GB storage capacity, with no configuration options for additional memory.
Design-wise, the Signature 27 utilizes a mix of metal, ceramic, and glass, alongside textured polycarbonate rear panels. Available in black and green, the aesthetic leans into automotive-inspired finishes. The release is scheduled for later this month, testing consumer appetite for high-cost, non-folding handsets in a market increasingly dominated by foldables and AI-integrated devices.
