Mount Sinai Health System to implement Sectra radiology reporting platform
Mount Sinai Health System has signed a seven-year agreement to adopt Sectra’s integrated radiology reporting module, aiming to unify imaging and diagnostics.
Mount Sinai Health System in New York has become the first U.S. health system to contract with Sectra for its integrated reporting module. The seven-year agreement, signed during Sectra's second quarter of fiscal 2026/2027, covers radiology services across the network, processing more than 1.2 million annual exams. Deployment is scheduled for spring 2027.
The system consolidates imaging, artificial intelligence, and reporting into a single interface. By eliminating the need for radiologists to toggle between multiple applications, the health system aims to shorten report turnaround times. The platform includes automated report structuring, AI-drafted impressions, and quality verification tools that flag inconsistencies before clinicians sign off on findings.
Dr. David S. Mendelson, Vice Chair of Radiology Information Technology at Mount Sinai, noted that the integration allows reporting capabilities to evolve alongside the existing imaging platform. The move is part of an industry-wide effort to reduce vendor complexity and centralize diagnostic workflows within large academic health systems.
