Mouser Electronics adds Synaptics SL1680 IoT processor to inventory
Global distributor Mouser Electronics has begun stocking the Synaptics SL1680, an AI-native embedded processor designed for industrial and consumer IoT applications.
Mouser Electronics is now distributing the SL1680 embedded processor from Synaptics. The system-on-chip (SoC) is designed to support AI-driven workloads on Android and Linux platforms, targeting enterprise, industrial, and consumer IoT deployments.
The hardware features a quad-core Arm Cortex-A73 CPU, a dedicated neural processing unit for AI acceleration, and multimedia capabilities including 4K video encoding and decoding. It joins the existing Astra family of processors, maintaining compatibility with previously released software toolkits.
To assist in product development, Mouser is also stocking the SL1680 evaluation kit. This modular hardware platform allows engineers to prototype designs using swappable compute modules and standardized I/O interfaces, facilitating faster integration into connected device architectures.
