Mouser Electronics Becomes First Authorized Global Distributor of e-peas Energy-Harvesting PMICs
Mouser Electronics, a global distributor of electronic components, has entered into a worldwide distribution agreement with e-peas, a company specializing in energy-harvesting PMICs. This makes Mouser the first authorized distributor to stock and ship e-peas products globally.
Mouser Electronics has announced a global distribution agreement with e-peas, a semiconductor company that develops energy-harvesting power management integrated circuits (PMICs). Mouser is now the first authorized distributor to offer e-peas products for immediate worldwide shipment. This partnership aims to provide engineers with components that enable devices to be powered indefinitely by harvesting ambient energy.
e-peas' PMICs are designed for applications such as industrial and building automation, agriculture, health monitoring, and smart metering. The company's Ambient Energy Manager (AEM) product line, now available through Mouser, utilizes solar, thermal, vibration, and radio frequency (RF) methods to collect energy for powering Internet of Things (IoT) devices. These ICs are engineered to extract available input current, store energy in a rechargeable element, and supply two independent regulated voltages to the system.
The ICs can harvest up to 110 mA of input current and feature an ultra-low-power boost converter that operates with input voltages ranging from 50 mV to 5 V. A unique cold-start circuit allows them to begin operation with empty storage elements at an input voltage as low as 380 mV (or 50 mV for thermal applications) and requires only 3 µW of input power. Products like the AEM10941 for solar, AEM20940 for thermal, and AEM30940/AEM40940 for RF energy harvesting are now accessible through Mouser.
Mouser Electronics, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, provides a broad selection of semiconductors and electronic components from leading manufacturers. The company's website offers extensive technical resources, including datasheets, application notes, and engineering tools, to support design engineers in their development processes. Mouser operates 27 support locations worldwide, offering localized service in multiple languages and currencies.
