Mouser Electronics has begun distributing the Cypress CYW43362 single-chip IEEE 802.11 b/g/n MAC/Baseband/Radio + SDIO solution. This chip targets mobile wireless systems.

Mouser Electronics has announced the distribution of the Cypress CYW43362 single-chip solution, previously part of Broadcom's portfolio. This integrated circuit combines IEEE 802.11 b/g/n MAC, baseband, and radio functionalities, designed for mobile and handheld wireless systems.
The CYW43362 features an integrated 2.4 GHz WLAN CMOS power amplifier, meeting the output power needs of many portable devices. It also supports optional external LNA and PA components. The inclusion of integrated transmit and receive baluns helps reduce overall solution costs and board space.
With host interface options including SDIO v2.0 and generic SPI, the chip is engineered for power efficiency and compact size, crucial for battery-operated devices. It incorporates an ARM Cortex-M3 CPU with onboard memory, enabling firmware execution directly on the chip.
