Mouser Electronics Distributes Littelfuse 450V Fuses for EV Battery Protection

Mouser Electronics has begun distributing Littelfuse's new IE 885 Nano2® series of surface-mount fuses. These components are designed to protect high-voltage applications, particularly the battery systems and charging infrastructure in electric vehicles.

The fuses provide rated voltage capacities of 450V DC and 500V DC, as well as 350V AC. They are engineered to handle significant current demands, with an interrupting rating of up to 1500A at 125V DC, and comply with stringent safety standards including UL/CSA/NMX 248-1 and EN 60127-7.

Constructed with a heat-resistant plastic body that meets the UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, the fuses are also lead-free and halogen-free. This makes them compatible with lead-free soldering processes and higher temperature profiles, adhering to RoHS compliance.

Suitable for applications such as lithium-ion battery packs in EVs, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and high-voltage DC/DC converters, the IE 885 series offers low voltage drop and high pulse resistance for reliable protection in critical electrical systems.
