Mouser Electronics Distributes MediaTek Genio 1200 IoT Platform

Mouser Electronics has commenced the distribution of MediaTek's Genio 1200 (MT8395) premium IoT platform. This System-on-Chip (SoC) is engineered for advanced edge computing and artificial intelligence applications.

The Genio 1200 is built using 6nm technology and features an octa-core CPU, comprising four Arm Cortex-A78 cores and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores. The chip supports up to 16GB of LPDDR4X memory and integrates an Arm Mali-G57 GPU. The hardware is capable of dual 4K display output and HEVC codec.

Mouser highlights the platform's flexible I/O interface, making it suitable for a wide array of Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It supports Gigabit Ethernet as well as Wi-Fi 6 and 5G Sub-6 modules. Additionally, the chip includes an embedded multi-core APU (Application Processing Unit) designed for demanding edge AI tasks.

The company is also offering Genio 1200 evaluation kits, intended for both commercial and industrial use cases. These kits enable developers to evaluate and build new IoT solutions utilizing the capabilities of the Genio 1200.
