Mouser Electronics Releases Vivado Design Suite User Guide

Mouser Electronics has released the latest version of its user guide for the Vivado Design Suite software.

The publication provides detailed information on the software's new version, including features, known issues, and important licensing changes. Updates cover version 2021.2, bringing modifications to supported operating systems and devices, and removing the outdated Webtalk chapter.

Key updates include the upgrade of the license management tool to Flexera version 11.17.2.0 for Vivado 2021.2 and subsequent releases. Users utilizing floating licenses will need to update their licensing utilities. Existing license files will remain functional after this upgrade.

Regarding installation, the guide details the use of the Xilinx Unified Installer, including instructions for downloading and installing files. It also highlights naming conventions required for usernames and directories, specifically noting limitations on path lengths in Windows and forbidden characters in file and project names.
