Mouser Electronics to Sponsor 2025 Design Contest for Engineering Innovation

Mouser Electronics is returning as a Platinum sponsor for the 2025 Global Create the Future Design Contest, a competition that seeks innovative engineering solutions. The contest, established to stimulate and reward engineering invention, allows engineers, entrepreneurs, and students worldwide to submit their design ideas.

The entry period for the contest opened on March 3 and closes on July 1, 2025. The grand prize winner will receive a $25,000 cash prize and global recognition for a product design that offers societal and economic benefits. Previous iterations of the competition have garnered over 15,000 submissions from more than 100 countries.

Mouser, which has supported the contest for over a decade, is joined again by co-sponsors Intel and Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI). The competition is produced by SAE Media Group, an SAE International company. Entries are judged across seven categories, including Aerospace and Defense, Automotive/Transportation, Electronics, Manufacturing and Materials, Medical, Robotics and Automation, and Energy, Power & Propulsion.

Past winning entries have included concepts such as self-destroying plastics, a portable organ transport device, and an economical food-borne illness detection system. The contest aims to highlight designs that improve quality of life, advance healthcare, or provide sustainable solutions.
