MOYOM Biotech Secures Financing for Global Growth
Chinese biotechnology firm MOYOM Biotech announced it has secured financing from Cathay Capital to accelerate its global expansion in regenerative aesthetic biomaterials.

SHANGHAI – MOYOM Biotech, a company specializing in regenerative aesthetic biomaterials, announced Tuesday it has completed a new financing round from the Cathay Consumer Co-Creation Fund, managed by Cathay Capital. This investment is a significant milestone in the company's development and will support its next phase of global expansion.
The funding will accelerate MOYOM's efforts to bring its biomaterial innovations, originating in China, to international markets. The company's flagship product, Aphranel®, is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA)-based regenerative material designed for immediate structural support, tissue regeneration stimulation, and complete biodegradation. Aphranel® received Class III medical device registration from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in February 2025 and European Union Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) certification in May 2026.
Cathay Capital's investment reflects a growing interest in technologies poised to shape the next generation of the beauty and medical aesthetics industry. The Cathay Consumer Co-Creation Fund was established in partnership with L'Oréal and the Shanghai Jing'an District Government to foster innovation in beauty, health, and skin science.
Founded in 2018, MOYOM focuses on nanomedical biomaterials and absorbable implantable medical devices. Since its commercial launch in May 2025, Aphranel® has been introduced in over 700 medical aesthetics clinics across China. The company plans to utilize the financing to advance clinical translation, pursue additional regulatory approvals, and expand into overseas markets.
