Mozilla adds AI-driven form completion to Firefox
Mozilla has introduced an automated form-filling feature to its Firefox browser, utilizing data from active tabs to populate online fields.

Mozilla is integrating new artificial intelligence capabilities into its 'Smart Window' feature within the Firefox browser. The update aims to automate data entry for online forms by pulling information directly from a user's currently open tabs.
When a user interacts with a web form containing at least four fields, Firefox triggers a 'Fill from sources' option. This function aggregates data from designated open pages, such as professional portfolios or networking profiles, to suggest text for the fields. Users retain control over which tabs the browser accesses during the process.
This move by Mozilla represents an effort to maintain competitiveness in a browser market increasingly focused on integrated generative AI tools. By leveraging browser-side data, the company seeks to streamline repetitive web tasks while addressing user privacy concerns regarding how local data is processed.
