MPE Partners and Intermatic acquire Sunrise Technologies

Private equity firm MPE Partners, in conjunction with its portfolio company Intermatic, announced the acquisition of Raynham, Massachusetts-based Sunrise Technologies (Sun-Tech) on November 5, 2026. The move integrates Sun-Tech into the Illinois-based Intermatic organization.

The acquisition is intended to bolster Intermatic’s portfolio in the lighting control and power management sectors. By incorporating Sun-Tech’s specialized technology, Intermatic aims to broaden its technical capabilities within the electrical infrastructure market. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Intermatic, headquartered in Libertyville, Illinois, provides a range of electrical and lighting control solutions. The acquisition serves as a strategic move to scale operations and consolidate the company's footprint in energy-efficient infrastructure.
