MPM Products Certified Under Stricter B Corp Standards
MPM Products, a global pet food group, has achieved recertification under B Lab's more rigorous social and environmental standards, becoming one of the first UK companies to do so.

Manchester, England – MPM Products, a company specializing in pet food, has successfully recertified its B Corp status under updated, stricter social and environmental criteria set by B Lab. The Manchester-based firm is among the first cohort of 20 U.K. businesses to meet these new, more demanding standards.
The B Corp Certification signifies a company's commitment to balancing profit with purpose, demonstrating positive impacts on workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. MPM Products initially gained certification in 2021. B Lab has since raised the bar, requiring organizations to meet threshold performance scores across seven impact areas, including climate action and human rights, with third-party verification.
"We're incredibly proud to be among the early adopters to recertify against B Lab's new standards, but for us, recertification isn't the end point; it gives us a stronger framework for what comes next," said Joy Stevenson, MPM's Impact Manager for ESG. "With the combined support of our Leadership Team and new investors, we have a real opportunity to continue maturing our ESG programme."
Founded in 2002, MPM Products focuses on cat food brands such as Applaws, Reveal, and Encore. The company has expanded into over 50 markets globally. Milestones highlighted include donating over 7.7 million pet meals since 2021 and implementing a new Climate Action Plan focused on improving logistics and maintaining over 92% recyclable packaging.
