MSC Cruises to launch MSC World Europa vessel

MSC World Europa will commence operations on December 20, 2022, marking a major expansion for MSC Cruises. The vessel is designed to integrate advanced maritime technology with a variety of passenger amenities.

The ship features a 104-meter outdoor promenade spanning seven decks, anchored by a 74-meter-long slide called The Venom Drop @ The Spiral. The indoor area, known as the World Galleria, includes retail shops and dining options, topped with a kinetic LED ceiling. These structural elements are designed to facilitate passenger flow and provide a focal point for social activities.

The onboard dining experience consists of 33 distinct venues. Notable additions include The Chef’s Garden Kitchen, which utilizes onboard hydroponic gardening, and La Pescaderia, a Mediterranean-style seafood restaurant. The ship also hosts the company’s first microbrewery and various specialized cocktail bars.

Entertainment venues are distributed throughout the ship, including the World Theatre for large-scale performances and the Panorama Lounge. This launch underscores the company's strategy to provide a diverse array of leisure activities for a wide demographic.
