MSI Announces New Gaming Laptop with RTX 5060 Graphics

MSI has revealed its new "Shadow Power 16 Dragon Maid" limited edition gaming laptop, with pre-orders opening in China on July 13th at a price of 10,899 RMB (approximately $1,515 USD). This special edition features a high-end Intel Core i9-14900HX processor and an NVIDIA RTX 5060 mobile GPU. The device comes equipped with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD storage.

The laptop incorporates a robust cooling system, consisting of dual fans, five heat pipes, and four exhaust ports, allowing for a total power output of up to 200W. The chassis weighs approximately 2.3kg and measures 21.95mm in thickness. Its display is a 16-inch panel with a 2.5K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color space.

The "Dragon Maid" edition boasts a distinctive white color scheme with custom engraved emblems. Additional features include per-key RGB backlighting, dual speakers with Nahimic audio and Hi-Res certification, and an 80Wh battery supporting 100W PD fast charging.

Connectivity options include two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports (supporting DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0), two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 port, and an RJ45 Ethernet port. Potential buyers can further reduce the cost through student discounts and government subsidies for digital products, bringing the effective price down to 9,199 RMB (approximately $1,270 USD).
