MSI Launches Katana 15 HX C14 Gaming Laptop

MSI has announced the release of its Katana 15 HX C14 gaming laptop, now available for purchase. The device can be configured with up to Intel's Core i9-14900HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 memory.

The Katana 15 HX C14 is targeted at users prioritizing performance and value. The laptop measures 21-22.9mm in thickness and weighs 2.1kg, representing a 10.2% reduction in thickness and a 12.5% reduction in weight compared to the previous generation. Its cooling system includes dual fans, three heat pipes, and four exhaust vents, supporting a 170W performance release.

The laptop offers support for either DDR5 or DDR4 memory and includes two PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 NVMe SSD slots. The 15.6-inch display options include QHD resolution at 165Hz with 100% DCI-P3 coverage, or FHD resolution at 144Hz with 100% sRGB coverage.

Connectivity features include an Intel AX211 wireless card supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, a 4-zone RGB keyboard with 1.7mm key travel, an HD camera, and two 2W speakers. It is powered by a 60Whr battery and offers one full-function USB-C (10Gbps), three USB-A (10Gbps), an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 1GbE RJ45 Ethernet port.
