MSI releases Katana 15 Max HX 2026 gaming laptop in China

MSI has begun selling its new Katana 15 Max HX 2026 gaming laptop on Chinese e-commerce platforms, according to IT Home. The model's codename is Katana 15 HX C14WX.

The laptop is built with an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU. It includes 16GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen4 M.2 SSD for storage. The listed price is 10,599 yuan, with a post-subsidy price of 9,099 yuan.

Compared to its predecessor, the chassis has been reduced in thickness by 10.2% and weight by 12.5%. The cooling system features three heat pipes and two fans, supporting a total system power release of up to 170W. The exterior boasts a sharp design with dark color accents.

The Katana 15 Max HX 2026 features a 15.6-inch QHD display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. It also includes a four-zone RGB backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and a 60Whr battery. I/O ports consist of one full-function USB-C 10Gbps, two USB-A 10Gbps, one USB-A 5Gbps, an HDMI 2.1 port, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
