MSI Releases New Server Portfolio With 6th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs
MSI has introduced a new server portfolio powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC™ Server CPUs. The new platforms are designed to accelerate AI, cloud, and business-critical workloads.

MSI is expanding its server offerings with new platforms that utilize 6th Gen AMD EPYC™ Server CPUs, based on SP7 and SP8 designs. These systems aim to modernize data centers by accelerating workloads for artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, high-performance computing (HPC), virtualization, and business-critical applications.
The SP7 platforms are engineered for maximum density and performance, featuring up to 256 cores and 512 threads per processor, targeting performance-driven deployments. For more balanced configurations, the SP8 platforms offer up to 128 cores and 256 threads per processor. MSI's expanded portfolio includes liquid-cooled GPU servers, multi-node platforms in 19-inch and 21-inch formats, and enterprise servers.
Company representatives stated that the new platforms allow organizations to tailor their infrastructure based on performance, density, efficiency, and serviceability needs. This development supports the trend toward specialized data center architectures and addresses the increasing demand for customized system solutions.
MSI plans to showcase the CD270-S4091-X2 multi-node server as part of its latest 6th Gen AMD EPYC server lineup at the AMD Advancing AI 2026 event. The new range includes solutions like liquid-cooled GPU servers for dense AI applications and various multi-node platforms suitable for cloud and HPC environments.
