Multiconsult and Rejlers to merge into Nordic consultancy group

Norwegian firm Multiconsult and Swedish firm Rejlers have agreed to merge in a "merger of equals" transaction. The companies aim to create a leading multidisciplinary consultancy group in the Nordic region, serving sectors ranging from construction and real estate to energy and industry.
The merger is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024. The combined company will employ approximately 10,000 experts and have operations across several Nordic countries. The move is intended to enhance competitive positioning and offer a broader range of services to clients in the region.
Shareholders of Multiconsult and Rejlers will each hold approximately 50% of the merged entity. The boards of both companies have supported the transaction, which is anticipated to yield significant cost and service development synergies. The completion of the deal is subject to approval from shareholder meetings and regulatory bodies.
