Multiconsult, the Norwegian engineering and consultancy firm, reported a significant dip in profitability for the third quarter of 2026. EBITA fell to NOK 6.3 million from NOK 62.1 million in the same period last year, impacted by lower activity levels during the summer months and costs associated with its proposed merger with Sweden's Rejlers.

Despite the decline in profit, the company saw a modest revenue increase of 2.0% to NOK 1,219.7 million. Interim CEO Kristin Olsson Augestad noted that operational efficiency measures implemented during the quarter began to bear fruit in September, with a recovery in billing rates. Order intake remained strong, rising 12.4% year-on-year to NOK 1,355 million.

The company is currently focused on finalizing its merger with Rejlers, which was approved by shareholders in October. The transaction is expected to close around the turn of the year or early 2027, subject to regulatory clearance. The combined entity aims to strengthen its presence in the Nordic energy, industry, and defense sectors.
