MultiDimension Technology Introduces HFM2905 High-Frequency Magnetic Field Sensor
MultiDimension Technology (MDT) has launched the HFM2905 high-frequency magnetic field sensor, enabling real-time analysis of magnetic signals across a broad frequency range.

MultiDimension Technology (MDT) has unveiled the HFM2905 high-frequency magnetic field sensor, designed for real-time observation and analysis of magnetic signals.
The Zhangjiagang, China-based company, a provider of magnetic sensors and a pioneer in Tunnel Magnetoresistance (TMR) technology, announced the product on July 14, 2026. The HFM2905 complements MDT's existing USB magnetometer series, which is optimized for low-frequency measurements, by extending capabilities to higher frequencies.
The sensor features a bandwidth from DC up to 1.6 MHz and a standard BNC analog output. This allows for direct connection to oscilloscopes or data acquisition systems, enabling engineers to capture and analyze rapidly changing magnetic field waveforms, frequencies, and amplitudes in real time.
MDT states that the HFM2905 leverages the advantages of its TMR magnetic sensing technology by combining a wide measurement bandwidth with high sensitivity to low-intensity magnetic fields. The device includes selectable gain and low-pass filter settings for optimizing measurements across various signal amplitudes and frequencies. It is USB-powered, eliminating the need for an external power supply for simplified setup.
The HFM2905 is targeted for applications including the design of switched-mode power supplies, power electronics development, motor drive analysis, transformer and inductor characterization, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. MDT also provides a dedicated calibration device with an integrated precision transmission line and current transformer for on-site calibration to maintain measurement accuracy.
