MuseumsCard Offers Free Entry for Young People in Schleswig-Holstein
Over 130 museums and cultural sites in Schleswig-Holstein are accessible to young people free of charge with the MuseumsCard in the coming months. The aim is to inspire youth engagement with culture and history.

More than 130 museums, exhibitions, and cultural education sites in Schleswig-Holstein are again accessible to young people free of charge with the MuseumsCard in the coming months, announced the Landesjugendring Schleswig-Holstein. The objective of the initiative is to inspire young people's interest in culture and history.
Participating institutions include, among others, the Viking Museum Haithabu in Schleswig, the Agricultural Museum Unewatt, and the Theodor Storm Museum in Husum. Approximately 200,000 MuseumsCards will be available for young people this year. The cards can be obtained at savings banks, museums, libraries, and many tourist information centers within the state.
The program is specifically aimed at children and adolescents. The card aims to lower the barrier to experiencing cultural offerings while also providing information about regional history and culture. The association of museums and other cultural institutions views this project as a way to ensure the interest of future generations in their region.
The campaign has been repeated for several years and has received a positive reception. The savings bank foundation supports the project both financially and in terms of content. Last year, around 150,000 MuseumsCards were distributed, demonstrating the concept's popularity.
