Musk praises Mythos/Fable, promises not to 'cut off' Anthropic

Elon Musk has praised his updated technology, Mythos/Fable, while assuring that he would not block AI company Anthropic from accessing its services. Musk responded to concerns raised by users on his X platform about the possibility of him cutting off a competitor from SpaceX's servers.

Musk wrote on X on Thursday that he "was clearly wrong about Anthropic." This refers to a prior post from September 2025 where he stated Anthropic would not win. Even then, the company was considered a winner, with TechCrunch reporting it held the largest AI market share with enterprises.

Currently, Anthropic is one of SpaceX's largest customers. Under a deal from May 2026, Anthropic is set to purchase 300 megawatts of compute power, representing the entirety of xAI's output.

Musk has expressed admiration for Anthropic's model development. His comments are significant given his previous criticism of the company, now appearing to shift his perspective to appreciate its advancements.
